A Multi-Engine Rating enables you to fly aircraft with 2 or more engines. IF rated pilots can fly in Instrument Meteorological conditions.
The only requirement to start with your multi-engine rating is a valid SA PPL. Most insurance companies won’t insure you unless you have a total of 100 hours PIC. You can always use a safety pilot for insurance purposes.




A Class II Medical Certificate is required for a Multi-Engine Rating.
You require the following to obtain a Multi-Engine Rating:
Multi-Engine rating hours can count as part of your 200 hours towards your CPL.
You require a valid PPL and Night Rating.
You require the following to obtain an Instrument Rating
